House Rules

Stay Comfortable in Every Room

A good room feels easy. That doesn't happen by accident — it happens because a few simple rules hold, and because you know what to do the moment a room stops feeling right. Here's the whole picture, in plain language.

The first rule of the house: adults only

SexyRoom is for people aged 18 and over — no exceptions, no workarounds, no winking. Live, unscripted video between strangers is an adult format, and that line holds in every room, every match and every message. If you ever have reason to believe someone in a room is under 18, leave immediately and report it. That's the one report we never want to wait on.

Treat the person in the room like a person

Every door you open has a real human being on the other side of it. The basics are the basics: be respectful, take no for an answer the first time, and don't pressure anyone into anything — on camera or off it. Chemistry only works when it's mutual, and a room where one person is uncomfortable isn't a good room for either of you.

It cuts both ways. You never owe anyone your time, your attention or another minute of a conversation that's gone wrong. Politeness is welcome; endurance is not required.

You can always leave — and you can always report

Leaving is the built-in safety feature of every room. No explanation, no penalty, no awkward exit line: if a conversation cools off, turns pushy or just isn't for you, close the door and the hallway is right there. Try another room, or let Quick Match open a different one.

When leaving isn't enough — when someone crosses a line — report them. Reports go to real moderation, and they're the single most useful thing you can do for everyone who would have met that person after you. Blocking and reporting are quiet by design: the other side doesn't get a notification about who flagged them.

Moderation is watching the hallway

Rooms are private-feeling, but the house itself is looked after. Moderation combines automated signals with human review of reports — accounts that harass, scam, spam or break the rules lose access to the rooms. No platform can honestly promise that nothing bad will ever happen on live video, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that bad behavior has consequences here, and that your reports actually move those consequences along.

Keep your personal details out of the room

Live video feels close fast — that's the point — but closeness on camera isn't the same as knowing someone. Until a person has earned it over time, keep the identifying details to yourself: your full name, home address, workplace, phone number and the handles that tie back to your real life. Be mindful of what's in frame behind you, too — mail on a table, a work badge, a street view through the window. A room shows more than you say.

Never share financial details. Ever.

This one has no exceptions. No legitimate person you meet in a room will ask for your card number, banking details, gift cards, crypto transfers or "help with an emergency" — and anyone who does is not there for conversation. It doesn't matter how charming the room has been or how long you've been talking. Money requests end the conversation: leave, report, and don't look back. SexyRoom will never ask you to send money to another user, and neither will anyone worth talking to.

What doesn't belong in any room

SexyRoom is a social video space for adults — flirty, playful, face-to-face — and it is not an anything-goes zone. Prohibited across the entire platform: anything involving minors in any form, non-consensual or exploitative content, illegal activity of any kind, threats, blackmail, harassment, hate, and sexual content that crosses into the explicit or the unlawful. These aren't gray areas. Accounts that touch them are removed and, where the law requires, reported to the appropriate authorities.

When in doubt, step out

Your instincts are part of the safety system. If a room feels off — too pushy, too rehearsed, too interested in your wallet or your personal life — trust that feeling and leave. There is always a next room, and the best conversations never start with you ignoring your own judgment. The how it works page shows how easily you can move between rooms, and our terms of service spell out the formal rules behind everything above.

The Rooms Are Better When You're Comfortable
